About MetroHacks Women III

This year marks MetroHacks’ third 12-hour hackathon for female students, the first Metrohacks Women event to take place in New York City. New York City's Metrohacks Women III will be hosted by Microsoft at the company's Times Square Microsoft offices. Metrohacks is devoted to bringing more female students into STEM fields. During the 12-hour event, students will learn about new technology in various workshops, collaborate and create projects with each other, and compete for prizes. Girls aged 13-18 can attend. The event is completely free, and meals are provided for all participants.

You'll have time to find a team when you arrive. If you already have a team, just list your teammates when you register. You may work individually or in teams of no more than 4 people.
This hackathon is a twelve-hour event starting from 8 am to 8 pm (max), but we try to end the NYC event as soon as possible little after 6:00 pm to help students with their commute back to their home easily.
Participants will be dropped off at the ground floor of the Microsoft offices, where they will sign initial paperwork and then be sent upstairs to the main event. Parents cannot come upstairs unless they have registered as a volunteer. Participants can await pickup in the Microsoft lobby. Parking will not be readily available, so don't plan on having access to that.
